What changes have you made for COVID-19?
To ensure safety for everyone, proper hand washing procedures are followed before dyeing yarn and packaging orders.
In terms of local pickup, all orders that are being picked up from my residence are being done by contactless pickup only and by appointment.
Shipping & Order Pickup:
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes, there is a pickup option available at checkout. No coupon code is required. Simply select this option at checkout and when your order is ready to be picked up, you will receive an email notification with pickup hours and my address. I am located in the west end of Edmonton (Secord area). An appointment is currently required for all local pickups.
How is my order shipped? What are my shipping options? How much does shipping cost?
All orders are shipped via Canada Post using the shipping method selected at checkout. I offer flat rate shipping in Canada. There are trackable and untracked options available. In Canada, if your order contains more than one skein or one sock set, you will only see a trackable option at checkout.
For orders within Canada, untracked shipping is a $5 flat rate and tracked shipping is a $17 flat rate. If you order over $200 in Canada, you can have your order shipped free - look for this option at checkout.
Shipping to the United States and internationally is calculated by Canada Post rates. There will be 2-3 options available to you. Please select the option that suits you best.
Please note: "Small Packet" shipping does not include tracking for your order and can take several weeks to arrive to some destinations. I can provide verification that your order was shipped and accepted by Canada Post but I cannot be responsible for shipment after they are received by Canada Post. If you need to be able to track your order, please select Expedited Parcel, Tracked Packet or Xpresspost. Thanks for your understanding.
Please note: If you choose an untracked shipping method at checkout, I am not responsible if your order goes missing in the mail. There is no way to track what happens with your order when you choose this method. If you are unsure of the risk, please select a shipping method with a tracking number when placing your order.
When will be order ship?
I ship orders daily Monday through Friday. All ready to ship orders placed before noon MT, will ship same day. Orders placed after noon MT will ship on the next business day. Orders placed after noon MT on Fridays will ship on Monday.
Orders placed on statutory holidays will ship the next day that the post office is open for business.
Preorders will ship by the date stated in the individual listings.
Do you offer tracking on vacuum sealed orders?
No, this is not a service that is offered by Canada Post. This is a cost effective shipping option I offer for Canadian customers due to the high cost of shipping within Canada.
How do I care for projects I create using your hand dyed yarn?
Hand wash in cool to cold water with a mild detergent or wool wash. Lay flat to dry.
What type of dye do you use? What is your process?
I use acid dyes with all of my yarn bases. Each batch is set with heat and citric acid and rinsed thoroughly (sometimes 3-4 times) before hanging to dry.
Are your yarns museling and cruelty free?
Yes. Both of my suppliers source their wool from farms that practice non-mulesing and are cruelty free.
Will you custom dye your yarn?
Yes, however I only take custom requests for my regular colourways. One of a kind colourways cannot be custom ordered.
I will not dye custom colours or colour match.
Turnaround times vary.
