By purchasing this product, you will receive a .pdf file of the pattern for the pictured item, so you can knit it up yourself. You will not receive a physical item in the mail.

With a shawl full of stripes and texture, what’s not to love?

This is a great pattern for taking with you on the go as most of it is garter stitch and makes for an easy knit.

There are no complicated stitches in this pattern, with the exception of knowing the i-cord cast on and bind off. Links are provided to tutorial videos for the i-cord cast on and i-cord bind off to go along with the written instructions.

Shape:
A triangular shawl full of stripes and a little bit of texture

Yarn:
I used my own hand dyed yarn on my Squishy Sock base for this shawl design. Kits are no longer available but there are plenty of colourways available in the shop that will go together nicely for this design.

Sample shown in Colour 1: Sage (green), Colour 2: Evening Sky (blue) and Colour 3: Old Fashioned (cream with neutral speckles).

If you want to browse the shop to find yarn to go with your new pattern, you can find all of the current colourways available on my Squishy Sock base here.

Needles:
US 6 (4mm) needles

Other Notions:
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Gauge:
17 stitches and 24 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) in garter stitch after blocking

Some testers needed more yardage for their shawls because their gauge varied from the gauge listed in the pattern. If you want your shawl to be the same size as the sample and of course to ensure you have the right yardage, please check your gauge before you start this shawl.

Yardage:
You will use 365 yards of Colour 1, 382 yards of Colour 2 and 303 yards of Colour 3. In total, you will use approximately 1,050 yards.

Measurements:
Approximately 199 cm across and 114 cm long, after blocking
