Shape:
Two colour crescent shape shawl done in garter stitch with a small feather and fan ripple effect
Yardage:
You will need approximately 712 yards for this pattern. I used 396 yards of the main colour (Oxygen) and 316 yards of the contrast colour (Maiz). The sample was knit using yarn from Manos Del Uruguay on their Alegria base.
Size:
One Size - measures approximately 110 inches across and 21 inches deep at its longest points after blocking
Gauge:
20 sts by 48 rows on US size 8 (5mm) circular knitting needles, after blocking
Knitting Needle:
A US 8 (5mm) knitting needle is the needle that was used to obtain gauge for this pattern.
This pattern is knit in one piece working from the center and growing outward toward the ends. I worked this pattern using a 60cm cable but you can use a longer/shorter cable if you prefer. Please note: if you use too small of a cable, your stitches will bunch a lot on the needles, making it harder to knit.
