July Feature: Furget Me Not Animal Rescue

A few months ago some dear friends of mine introduced me to Furget Me Not Animal Rescue, a no-kill animal rescue that’s based right here in Edmonton. Reading all of the stories and watching the videos of all the kittens and cats that are rescued brings the biggest smile to my face. Knowing that these animals are getting a second chance at life is so heartwarming. For the month of July, I will be donating 5% of all yarn sales to Furget Me Not Animal Rescue. This money will be going towards urgently needed food and supplies. Thank you all so much for your continued support of my small business and making these donations possible! It means the world to me...

June Feature: Black Women United YEG

I have learned a lot and still have so much to learn. But one thing I know deep in my heart is that action is what’s important. Putting my money where my mouth is as much as I can. March Feature: Tree Canada

For the month of March, I’ve decided to send donations to Tree Canada. They have planted over 82 million trees across Canada in an effort to restore communities affected by natural disasters. As a lover of nature this organization speaks volumes to me. Forests provide protection and homes for wildlife, fresh air for us to breathe, and entertainment in the way of hiking trails and camping. As a little girl who spent much time learning about forestry, how to survive in the wilderness and spending much of my spare time in the forest, forest restoration will always be important to me.If you want to learn more about their various programs and the communities that they are pledged to help support from...
